Riyadh - Team Bicolano captured the Championship Friday when it wrapped up the 2009 Bayanihan Title with one point victory over consistent front runner Team Itawis. The win, the slimmest of a margin in Pinoy Netters seven years tournament. The Champion garnerned a total of (247-22) game points/set points against (246-23) for the Team Itawis. Team Bicolano turned in adominating performance to win the Championship." This is absolutely fantastic" we have always been second or third according to one of Bicolano's team member.
Before the start of final round, Team Itawis is leading by 1 point but in the end kudos goes out to the Bicolano after their last doubles partner secured an 8-6 win over their opponent. Rounding out the top 8 were Team Ibanag (225-18), Tagalog (218-17), Cebuano (208-18), Kapampangan (205-13), Waray (198-17) and Ilongo (173-11).
